John Crump Video Producer On-Screen Talent Voice-Over Talent |
|
John Crump has 31 years
combined experience in broadcast television, radio news, and corporate
communications. Ten of those years he was involved with TV news,
specializing in high technology. He received a B.A. in Journalism from San
Jose State University in 1979, and a B.A. in History from the California
State College, Bakersfield in 1976, and has been the recipient of numerous
awards. His corporate efforts have been focused primarily on producing
video news releases and video for technology companies. He has most
recently produced brand awareness for AVCOM in an 18-month broadcast radio
program, and has provided talent on a variety of marketing shows.
In 2000 and 2001 John produced and hosted a weekly e-business news webcast on Oracle News Weekly, eBusiness Network. Since 2000 he also has been providing on camera and voice-over talent for many Oracle productions. From 1996-98 John wrote, produced, and voiced Technology Minute on KCBS Radio. He was also the host and segment producer/reporter of the KGO show Building America a series on emerging growth companies, and has produced dozens of feature segments on firms with unique technologies or business practices. Here is a list of some of the other projects John has worked on: * Producer and host, PBS series Silicon Valley Report, KTEH As producer of this weekly television series John was responsible for developing the concept and securing funding, sharing responsibility for managing the production team for two seasons (60 shows). Silicon Valley Report covered multimedia, massively-parallel computing, new biomedical products, virtual reality and biotechnology advances. He also profiled many executives, entrepreneurs, and researchers of the high-technology world in Silicon Valley, Route 128 and Tokyo, Japan. (1989-92) * Technology reporter, KNTV John offered the only daily television coverage of Silicon Valley: the rise, fall and rebirth of the video game industry, the IBM-Hitachi trade secrets case, the growth of personal computers, the electronics trade war, technology's influence on the arts, and profiles of Silicon Valley firms and innovators (1981-89). * Anchor and writer, Stock Market Today, KCSM Prior to regular television news, John hosted this two-hour live business news/talk magazine for nine months. * Anchor, reporter and editor, KXRX, San Jose & KLYD, Bakersfield John covered the full spectrum of news stories for these radio stations. At KXRX he specialized in stories on both the City of San Jose and Santa Clara County.
